Cupra Born deal brings savings of nearly $20,000
Cupra has rolled out nationwide drive-away pricing for the Born electric hatchback, resulting in savings of more than $14,900 across each state and territory.
From now until March 31, 2025, Cupra’s Obsesión sales event sees the MY24 Born discounted to as little as $47,090 drive-away Australia-wide – down significantly on its normal price of $59,990 before on-road costs.
Drive-away pricing typically varies between each Australian state and territory, however the limited-time deal means buyers could save up to $19,400 on the purchase of a new Born electric vehicle (EV).
Despite the discounted drive-away price of $47,090 advertised on the brand’s website, Cupra’s release also outlines a drive-away price of $49,990 with the $2900 optional Interior Pack included.

Below is a breakdown of Cupra Born savings at $47,090 drive-away in each state or territory:
Cupra sold just 465 Borns in Australia last year, ranking 30th for EV sales locally.
The Born EV is available in only one variant in Australia. It’s powered by a rear-mounted electric motor producing 170kW of power and 310Nm of torque, which is fed by a 77kWh lithium-ion battery pack for a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 7.0 seconds.
Cupra lists a claimed WLTP range of 511km for the standard Born, though the addition of the $2600 Performance Pack – which includes 20-inch alloy wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres, adaptive dampers and a two-seat rear bench – cuts the claim to 475km.
As is standard, the Born is covered by Cupra’s five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty, and owners can purchase one of two pre-paid service packs at $990 for three years and $1590 for five.
The Obsesión campaign also brings savings for the Formentor SUV, with sharp financing and drive-away pricing now available for select variants of Cupra’s most popular model in Australia.
