IN PICTURES: Albany and Districts Cricket Association comes together for mental health in annual Cobba’s Round

Great Southern cricketers put their club loyalties aside after Albany and Districts Cricket Association matches on Saturday to spin yarns and raise mental health awareness. Round six marked the sixth annual Cobba’s Round, which the ADCA runs in conjunction with the WA Cricket Association’s Think Mental Health Round to remember much-loved former Narrikup cricketer Greg “Cobba” Steel, who died in 2019. Close to 100 players from across the region gathered at Albany Cricket and Soccer Pavilion on North Road to indulge in pizzas and drinks while listening to an insightful talk from Michael Kaufman from The Regional Men’s Health Initiative about the importance of mental and physical wellbeing. While playing, all clubs branded the stumps with Think Mental Health stickers to signify the special round.
