Geraldton Motocross Club hosts ride day for newcomers as club prepares for Tri-Series Cup

The Geraldton Motocross Club hosted a highly successful Ride Day on Sunday, providing a much-needed break from competition and an opportunity for community members to come together.

Club spokesperson Makala Edwards said the club was thrilled about the turnout of people coming to try it out.

“Ride day today was a huge success, we had around 20 one-day licenses bought, and they had a great time,” Edwards said.

“The track got better as the day went on, and no dust, thanks to everyone who helped prep it and kept it enjoyable for all riders.”

The event welcomed both seasoned motocross enthusiasts and newcomers, creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere.

It was a day filled with thrilling rides, laughter, and new friendships, both on and off the track.

“Great to see new and current members getting along both on and off the track,” Edwards said.

“The canteen and bar ladies really kept the people happy, so a huge thank you to them and to our community for putting on an amazing day.”

In addition to celebrating the success of Ride Day, Edwards hinted at the excitement to come with the club’s upcoming Tri Series.

This eagerly anticipated event will see three clubs — Noble Falls, Jurien Bay, and Geraldton — competing for the prestigious cup.

The series will kick off at Noble Falls on July 13, continue at Jurien Bay on August 10 and conclude in Geraldton on September 7.
