The breakfast will start at 7.30am and those wishing to come down to the park to enjoy the morning are advised to bring a plate and some cutlery. The Katanning Australia Day ceremony and awards will follow the breakfast, starting at 8.30am.

The ceremony will feature a special guest speaker and also a raffle.

The Katanning Australia Day guest speaker in 2022 was respected Katanning local farmer and former council member Peter Kerin.

Alep Mydie was awarded citizen of the year and community group Friends of Piesse Park were recognised and presented with the active citizenship award.

Others recognised at last year’s event were Colin Browne, Jayde Wolfe and Pat McLeod.

To help celebrate the day, the Katanning Miniature Railway will be running from 9am to 12.30pm.
