KNA 2024: Kojonup hosts all competitions for Winter Sports Carnival as Broomehill remain undefeated

Round three of the Katanning Netball Association was held in Kojonup on Saturday, as part of Kojonup’s Winter Sports Carnival where a day of netball, football and hockey was played.

Kojonup Netball Association held such a great day for everyone to enjoy.

Go juniors and juniors wore an array of colours scattered around the blue outdoor courts and with some great sportsmanship among both divisions, these little athletes are already shining through new growth on the courts.

Juniors had some exciting games with close scores for all three matches, moving the ladder around and keeping things exciting.

Seniors embraced the sunny breeze in the afternoon with all courts in full swing.

In A1, Kojonup 1 showcased what they had at home against Olympians 1, taking the win with a very healthy 57-30 final score.

Te Taitonga 1 couldn’t maintain their flow, allowing Cardinals Force to pick up the ball and prevailing with a 36-24 win.

Kojonup 2 were up against ladder leaders Allstars 1.

Keeping their position, Allstars 1 defeated Cardies by a whopping 64-27.

A2 was just as altering with each game, but Broomehill did not let go of their winning streak.

They kept a large margin early on to take the win, 50-30.

Meanwhile Olympians 2 were unable to maintain the flow against Allstars 2 who ran with every ball, winning 54-28.

Te Taitonga 2 wanted the win against Cardinals Fever and Te Taitonga’s team spirit helped them prevail 39-25.

Te Taitonga 3 could not hold it long enough against Kojonup 3 to give themselves goals to tick over the scores, going down 29-9.

Kojonup 4 and Allstars 3 had a close game most of the way, but Kojonup 3 eventually surged to a 39-22 victory.

Round four of the KNA is scheduled for Wednesday, May 22 and teams will back up for round five at the Katanning Leisure Complex on Saturday.
