KNA 2024: Tight at the top as teams battle for vital spots in senior and junior finals

Katanning Netball Association is coming into the last few weeks before finals and there is a strong battle on to get to the top.

The Set kids had their final game for the season and from smiles and giggles to real game play, these kids have soaked in so much this season.

The last season for some before they head off to the next division and it’s great to see the next generation of netballers wanting to get in there and showing pure passion already.

GO division had teams back in full form, with them all stepping up and producing some great netball.

A few more rounds for the GO kids and the way their skills and teamwork has grown this season is joy to see.

Juniors are in for a fight in the top three.

Although it still could be anyone’s game for the finals, a hard battle is on.

Top team NAB Lightning hammered down in the first quarter keeping a huge lead against Kojonup Emeral to win 44-13.

ANZ Swifts got themselves their first, much-needed, win against the Nutrien Firebirds. Keeping themselves in the ladder battle they took the win 23-18.

Kojonup Sapphires almost lost second ladder position against McIntosh Mystics, but held it together with some extra push to win 35-23.

Seniors was nailbiting round with three close games.

Te Taitonga 1 are determined to stay in the game come finals and after a strong first quarter against Kojonup 2, they ran away with a thumping win 72-29.

Kojonup 1 trumped Cardinals Force 64-25 in a dominant display.

Allstars 1 and Olympians 1 battled it out in all four quarters, in what is always a competitive game between the two teams.

Allstars 1 this round had the extra fire in their belly and scored a nice win 46-38.

In A2 Te Taitonga 2 were hungry for a win against Olympians 2. With a strong first quarter, Te Taitonga 2 emerged winners 45-16.

Dumbleyung had a close battle against Allstars 2, who took the game 50-41.

Undefeated Broomehill are holding their form and this week were too strong for Cardinals Fever, 54-20.

In A3, Te Taitonga made it three wins for their club as Te Taitonga 3 found a nice flow to beat Allstars 3, 38-25.

Kojonup 3 had a sensational game against Cardinals Phoenix, winning 51-18.
