The wide open roads and spending time with old friends is what life is all about when you are a motorhome enthusiast.

It is also the reason more than 150 people descended on Wagin for the 2015 Solo's Rally last week.

Campervan and Motorhome Club of Australia members arrived in town last Monday, and with an action-packed program filled with workshops, day tours and entertainment, group co-ordinator Glennys Mills said there was something for everyone.

"They wouldn't be here if they didn't enjoy travel, its part of the reason these people join up," she said.

"It's such a relaxed atmosphere, and it's about meeting up with the same group of people who you might not have seen for a few years, we are like family.

"There is a true sense of camaraderie."

With 95 per cent of members travelling from the Eastern States, numbers for the event were lower than expected, but Ms Mills said this turned out to be beneficial.

"WA is a smaller chapter, and we just don't have the volunteer numbers, but the smaller group has been good," she said.

"Everyone has been able to get around and talk to each other, rather than miss out.

"The first few days have been a real buzz, but I know the last day will be emotional, because the friends you make in motor-homing become lifelong friends."

The group left Wagin on Monday, with some heading south to Albany for the CMCA's 30th National Rally which begins on October 26.
