Police raid nets drugs, property

Katanning police have seized methyl amphetamine, cannabis and smoking paraphernalia as well as a range of allegedly stolen goods from a property on Barker Street last week.

Police acted upon information received from the public and four people have been charged with possessing stolen property, possession of cannabis, possession of methyl amphetamine, possessing drug paraphernalia and stealing.

Officers searched a shed on the Barker Street property on Tuesday, May 31 and again the following day.

Among the goods was a camera allegedly taken from the Katanning Hospital and jewellery allegedly taken during a burglary on a rural property on the outskirts of Katanning.

Eight electric guitars, a custom-made motorised bicycle, whipper snippers, a high-pressure washer, and floodlights were also seized.

Police ask anyone with information on this or any other crime to contact the Katanning Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
