Sapphires too good for Fusion
Round eight of the Katanning Netball Association competition was played last weekend with several teams recording big wins in division 1.
Quick and nimble Sapphires centre Kirsty Flugge was best on court for her team as the Sapphires comprehensively downed Fusion, 49-18.
In the tightest game of the round, All Stars 2 defeated Dumbleyung by 12 goals, 45-33, with Maia Rauhina voted best on court.
Kojonup 1 were too strong for Cardinals Force, running out 31 goal victors, 51-20, while Olympians 1 were equally as strong against Cardinals Fever, winning 58-25.
In division 2, Embers and Broomehill each had big victories over All Stars 4 and Cardinals Vixens respectively.
Olympians 2 scored a five-goal win over Kojonup Diamonds, 26-21, while Cardinals Phoenix proved too good for Kojonup Allsorts, claiming a 12-goal win, 36-28.
In the closest match of the round, Fury managed to hang on and claim a narrow two-goal win over All Stars 3.
