Woolworths Katanning had its grand reopening last Thursday morning with hundreds turning out for the event.

A total of $4.7 million has been spent on the rebrand and refurbishment, with the project taking 11 weeks to complete.

Woolworths first opened in Katanning 35 years ago, and is now the most up-to-date store in the State.

Some of the noticeable changes include a refurbished deli, new meat servery, updated bakery and a refreshed fruit and vegetable area.

The store will now also be open from 11am on Sundays in the lead-up to Christmas.
