The final round of the regular season wrapped up on Monday night, with the tops teams now looking towards the finals.

In the women’s competition, Lions 1 continued their great run of form and look to be the team to beat come finals time.

In an exciting encounter against the Cavaliers, Lions 1 proved superior and ran out 40-32 victors.

The wildcats finished their regular season strongly with a 57-32 point win over the TA Bluebirds.

Jacqueline Morrow and Kira Flynn both had stand-out performances for the Wildcats.

The Panther and Lions 2 played out a draw after they each finished on 28 points, while the Rangers beat the Blazers 35-26 and Lions 3 defeated Broomehill by 10 points 44-34.

In the men’s competition Troy Flugge and Khallon Zilm both contributed for the Cavaliers in their top-of-the-table clash against Wildcats 1.

In the fast-paced game, the two best teams in competition traded baskets all night, but the Cavaliers always had the slight edge.

The Cavaliers came away 51-43 winners and look to be hard to beat in next week’s finals series.

The TA Rebels proved they were a force to be reckoned with in the finals, after they crushed the Celtics by 36 points, 56-20. Ivor Williams once again showed great skill for the Rebels.

The Woody Wombats were happy to finish the season on a winning note, after they downed the Clippers by 10 points, 51-41, while the Sixers finished strong with a 38-31 win over Wildcats 2.
