Katanning’s trucking industry will be in the national spotlight with local business Kendall Trucking set to star in the second season of Outback Truckers.

Producers approached Glenn “Yogi” Kendall in April and filming started at the end of August in the lead-up to the Dowerin and Newdegate field days.

Cameras tracked the family transporting machinery from Katanning and Perth to the field days.

Mr Kendall said it was a great way to show a wide audience what truckies do, and to put Katanning on the map.

“Every day is a different day, we move anything and everything and travel anywhere and everywhere,” he said.

The whole family are set to feature in at least two episodes of the 15-part series, which started airing on Seven Mate last Thursday night.

“We’re family based and they liked how we balanced work, play and family time,” Mr Kendall said.

The camera crew also followed the family’s four-day trek to Melbourne for Christmas.
