Star players converge on Kalgoorlie greens for inter-zone fours

Five of the region’s premier lawn bowlers will strut their stuff on familiar territory this weekend for the annual women’s inter-zone round-robin fours at Kalgoorlie Bowling Club.

Flying the flag for the region are Irene Leahy, Pauline Rolton, Pam Armstrong, France’ Pretorius and Marg Carrott among a field of 80 players from across WA.

Competition will be split into four zones — Northern, Southern, South-Western and Eastern, with each comprising 20 players and a reserve.

The two-day program is the highest-level of regional competition.

Official presentations will be made following Sunday’s round.
