One lucky Lotto player has become Australia’s newest millionaire after hitting the jackpot in Thursday’s Powerball draw.

Australian residents are being urged to check their tickets after the fortunate Lotto player matched all seven numbers and the all-important Powerball, landing them a staggering $4,681,528.85.

One other punter cashed in on Thursday night’s big winnings, bagging the division two prize of $258,440.55.

There was little luck for West Aussies this time round, with 37 winners from the State taking out $497.85 each in division four.

Tonight’s winning numbers are 12, 21, 6, 15, 9, 34, and 20. The Powerball is 15.

The win comes just one week after a woman from Apsley scooped up the whopping $100 million Jackpot.

The Queensland mum, who bought the winning ticket at Nextra Chermside Newsagency in Brisbane, told The Lott she almost lost the winning ticket.

“I was shopping the other day, and it’s coming up to my birthday, so I thought ‘Why not?’ and purchased a Powerball ticket.

“The funny thing is too, I almost lost it! I had to pull over on the way home from the shops because I thought I had left it there.

“After that, I put it in my glovebox, and I completely forgot about it until this morning”, she said.
