Cuballing exacted revenge on Wagin in the Narrogin and Districts Netball Association A1 competition, storming to a 48-43 win on Friday.

Wagin, having won the two previous encounters this season, were on the back foot early after conceding two quick goals.

From that point on it was almost goal for goal, with Cuballing edging slightly ahead for the majority of the first half.

Regina Kickett’s superb goal shooting for Cuballing was matched by Jaelyn Ranieri at the other end for Wagin.

The two teams were well-balanced and with a number of interceptions and unforced errors for both sides, Cuballing held a one-goal lead at the main break.

A couple of missed opportunities for Wagin and some solid passing by Cuballing saw them take the lead late in the third, up by five.

The final quarter was an evenly fought quarter, both teams scoring 11 goals apiece.

Cuballing took out the game, finishing strong and they were well-supported by an elated crowd.

Overall the teams were even but sheer determination and great shooting by Cuballing secured their seventh win of the season.

Ranieri and Kickett were named the best players.
