A 69-year-old man with dementia who was missing for more than 24 hours after leaving an aged care facility has been found.

Marie Favory was seen walking out of a Carlisle aged care facility about 8am on Wednesday before getting off a bus on St Georges Terrace, near Barrack Street, Perth, about 8.15am.

He was located in Highgate on Thursday morning.

Police are now transferring Mr Favory to hospital for assessment.
