Katanning police are investigating a spike in burglary offences where offenders have gained entry inside homes via unlocked doors or windows.

Local police would like to remind everyone in the community to lock all doors and windows, even while at home, to help reduce the risk of becoming a victim and losing valuable possessions.

In recent days Katanning police have made arrests in relation to burglaries in the town and are pursuing further leads into unresolved matters.

The community's assistance is of great importance to us in the ongoing battle to make Katanning a safer place.

We remind all residents to report any suspicious behaviour to police and keep an eye on your neighbour's property as well.
