WA’s Cooper Connolly has earned his baggy green cap as Australia look to close out their Test series with a win.

Follow all the action here, with the first ball set for 12.30pm (WA time).

Reporting LIVE

Australia take the new ball.

Now Australia take the new ball and it will be Starc to let it rip.

He gets an inswinger straight away that catches the inside edge.

Kusal Mendis gets off-strike with a single.

He beats the outside edge.

Ramesh Mendis gets a single off the last

New ball available

However, they don’t take it, this over with Strarc doing some stretches.

Lyon continues to Ramesh Mendis who is looking increasingly solid.

Australia have at the very least controlled the runs in the last half hour with just 19 off the last 10 overs.

Sri Lanka pass 200

The pair bring up the 50 partnership in quick time as they continue to stymie the Australian attack.

The new ball is seven overs away and there haven’t been many chances created save for an outside edge that fell short of slip.

Australia review

Starc goes wide and Mednis chases it and Carey and Smith seem convinced he’s edged it.

Joel Wilson gives it not out but Smith reviews. There was a sound but nothing comes up on ultra edge and Australia lose a review.

Sri Lanka steady

Ramesh has shown he’s up the fight largely untroubled in his 33 ball stay.

This pair have put on 40 runs together at better than four an over.

It means Mendis is not all out attack but still putting away the bad ball as he reverse sweeps Head for four.

If they can work their way to 250 that could be a very competitive total

Concern for Inglis

He’s currently off the field with some tightness in his back.

Hopefully they can get it sorted.

Mendis on the attack

Kusal Mendis looks as though he’s going to go down swinging slog sweeping Lyon for four and then six through mid-wicket.

He’s the last recognised batter, though Ramesh Mendis is no bunny averaging 38 in first class cricket, every run is precious on this surface.

STUMPED! Kuhnemann gets the big fish!

Lovely bowling as he gets one to spin and bounce past the edge and his foot is dragged forward as he overbalances.

Carey reacts quickly to whip the bails off and it’s sent upstairs and there’s nothing behind the line.

Massive wicket as Chandimal falls for 74.

We’re back

Kuhnemann continues after tea with Chandimal on strike.

There’s almost a return catch but it falls short.

Maiden over.

TEA - SRI LANKA 5/144

Kuhnemann replaces Starc after his fiery spell.

He rips one past the edged of Chandimal but he and Mendis survive until tea.

An excellent session taking four wickets for just 57 runs and were probably unlucky not to grab a couple more during Starc’s spell.

Chandimal has been excellent on his way to 70 but a lot is resting on his shoulders now with the tail only one wicket away.
