West Coast welcomes back their talisman in Harley Reid as they hope to upset the in-from Hawthorn who are eyeing a fifth straight win.

The Hawks have gone from wooden spoon contenders to shock finals fancies after a stunning run of form as Sam Mitchell looks to continue their momentum against the team where he honed his coaching chops.

After a fighting effort against Essendon, the Eagles have named their strongest side in months with Reid returning from suspensions and TIm Kelly finally overcoming his injury woes.

Can they ignite the Eagles to a win at home? Relive all the action.

We’ll leave it there

Thanks for joining us. Joy for the Hawks misery for the Eagles. Don’t know where they go from here.

How to sum it up?

FULL TIME Hawthorn 14.10 (94) West Coast 4.9 (33)

Finally it’s over. One of the worst performances in recent memories from the Eagles given the players they had on hand. McGovern and Barrass the only thing stopping a bigger belting. Can anyone else stand up? I doubt it. Lack of effort, skill and just a battering. Four marks inside 50 all of which came in the final quarter. Disposals 278 to 426, 60 inside50’s to 33. Clearances 38 to 19. Shocking stuff

An Eagles goal

Bailey Williams misses his set shot to the right. It’s 1.3 to 9.5 since half-time. But the Eagles manage to win the ball back on the wing and they get out the back and Williams gets his first. Probably staves off the 100 point loss.

Another Hawks goal

West Coast are staring down a 100-point defeat. No pressure, no effort and just under 8 minutes to survive. Eagles fans have had enough and a pouring out. I don’t blame them

McGovern’s coming off

The only Eagle who can hold is head high is coming off with a possible dislocated thumb after a defensive spoil. Connor Macdonald kicks his second

Allen misses another

Another mark inside 50 as West Coast manage to transition the ball to spilt the HAwk’s defence. His snap from the pocket misses the near side.

Crowd attendance

49,454 turned up. If only the team did the same. Hawks put on another two goals as the defence has just evaporated.
