Super Netball 2024: West Coast Fever record highest-ever attendance as crowds increase by 19 per cent

West Coast Fever are celebrating a record-breaking year after more than 67,000 fans attended home games in the 2024 season. Fever averaged 9583 people a game this season, up 19 per cent from last year when it was 8013 and nearly double from their 2022 premiership season (5058). It was a season when they broke the record for the biggest regular season crowd three times, with the round 14 clash against newcomers Melbourne Mavericks now the benchmark at 11,841. Super Netball announced earlier this year that they recorded the biggest attendance ever with 331,841 fans flocking to the regular season home games. Fever made up a remarkable 20 per cent of this season’s crowds from their seven home games, leaving the other 80 per cent spread across 49 matches. West Coast Fever chief executive Simone Hansen said the outstanding results was a combination of success on the court and hard work behind the scenes. “West Coast Fever has become one of the hottest tickets in town and we are thrilled with our 2024 season attendance,” she said. “In the space of three years, we’ve almost doubled our game day attendance, this season we contributed 20 per cent of the league’s record season attendance and we continue to lead the way for game day experience. “Our on-court success is a major factor and our fans love watching our amazing athletes play in the world’s best netball league however, without all of the hard work behind the scenes in the marketing, ticketing and commercial spaces, attendances like ours are not possible. “Our staff at West Coast Fever work extremely hard to deliver a first-class game day experience and ensuring we connect with our passionate netball community. “There is no doubt our results are the envy of the league.”
