French-flagged luxury cruise line Ponant has released 2026 Kimberley expedition itineraries with savings of up to 30 per cent on the brochure fare for early bookings.

A spokesperson tells us there are 16 departures aboard its luxury small expedition vessels Le Soleal or Le Jacques Cartier for the season from May-September 2026.

Guests are promised spectacular experiences in one of the region’s most sought-after cruise destinations, including waterfalls, ancient Indigenous rock art and cultural immersion, whale watching, and thrilling mangrove Zodiac safaris — all guided by Ponant’s expedition experts.

The bonus, of course, is you’ll return to a luxurious vessel and be treated to Ponant’s signature French hospitality.

Deb Corbett, Ponant’s CEO Asia-Pacific, says: “Our Kimberley expeditions are crafted to not only bring our guests into the heart of this remarkable landscape, but also support and engage with the local communities that call this region home. We are honoured to have been able to build and foster strong connections with First Nation communities, as well as making our visits a reciprocal experience that’s about connection and learning as much as it is about discovery and adventure.”

The first of 16 departures is Australia’s Iconic Kimberley, from Darwin to Broome, for 10 nights departing May 13, 2026. Fares on this voyage are from $12,870 per person (as at December 2, 2024).
